EMERGE!

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

Last year, I was meditating on God’s word when I heard the word “emerge.” Emerge: To move out or away from something. To come into view. To rise out of an inferior position. Needless to say, last year was incredible; a tale of triumph and tragedy. Now we must look forward to the future, emerging out of our current situation, taking everything one day at a time. One thing that God requires of us is FAITH. That is, to believe in what His word says, against all odds. Believing His word despite what we see. He goes on to say, that if you have faith without “works” then your faith is DEAD. He even goes on to explain that Abraham believed God, and because he believed God his faith was perfected. One version of James 2:20 says that faith is perfected, another version says matured and another version says complete!

I can say that I'm a believer as much as I want to, but until I put the works to my faith, my faith is in vain. I know for years there were things that I was believing God for, but I did nothing about it. I basically wished and hoped for it. No, that's not the way faith works.

God also says faith works by love! You cannot be bitter and walk in unforgiveness and walk in faith. Unforgiveness is an enemy if I say that I walk in Christ. Ask God to help you forgive, then forgive by faith. Don't go by your feelings; feelings will mislead you. Feelings are unreliable. If someone has hurt you and it's hard for you to forgive them, ask God to help you forgive them. Don't do it on your own. God never tells us to do something that we can do without Him.

What are you believing God for? Remember Faith works by Love, and Faith requires you to Emerge! #CUMI
