Be Still and Know

These are strange and peculiar times! People are searching for reasons, answers, and a peace of mind. In all of the chaos, one thing we do have is “certain uncertainty”. However, when you walk by FAITH even that uncertainty works out for your good. You may be uncertain how He's going to do it but be certain that He will come through for you, every single time!

There is a scripture that says, “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen; I will be exalted in the earth.” - (Psalms 46:10)

The simplest way you can put this scripture into practice is to make time for God. Be still. Being still means to put your phone down, sit down, be quiet, don't move, breathe deep, and rest before Him! God never tells us to do anything in vain. Do the Word! Take time out for God! I call these moments my SELAH moments, my quiet time. In Arabic, Selah means “connection.” This is your time to connect with God.

Being still helps you physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. God's word is very simple.

There's another scripture that says, “.... but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” Daniel KJV (11:32) Another translation (NAS) says: “…but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.

Take time to get to know Him. Our lives and character should have evidence of the presence of God in our lives. Spend some time with Him. If there were ever a time to do so, it’s now. Start with love! Work the Word…the Word works! Glenda Benjamin
