Be Strong?

I’ve always been intrigued with the book of Joshua in the bible. Specifically, in the first book, verses 1-9. God commands Joshua THREE times to not be afraid, to be strong and courageous. That sounds really good, but in reality, in reading this, I thought, "God isn't that kind of unfair?" Moses is dead, he was their trusted leader and they were depending on his direction. God makes this one statement that literally changes everything. He says, "I will be with you." Think about it, if we truly believe that HE is with us and he's got our back, then He is more than enough.

If we truly believe that God is with us, we can really do "all things through Christ who strengthens us" and not just quote the scripture! Joshua goes on to be one of the most powerful men in the Bible. He ended up leading generations! Well, what should I do in these uncertain times? What should I do in times of fear and trepidation? Trust in God, do not to be afraid! Be strong and courageous! Let's stop just talking about the Bible and start being the Bible! CUMI
